 "mommy, i'm drawing a car!"
I finally met Marmie! Yesterday, we had an impromptu get together in Banilad right after my son's class. I am very grateful for Jopie for introducing us online... We talked about being moms and photography and all the other hobbies in between... I found it funny, we both didn't have cameras with us hehehe! *** Marms, thank you for being so warm! You can actually talk about photography all day and people will pay you for it ;-) (photo swiped from Marm's site) *** Jops, dapat sunod magkita na ta ha! =)
play, laugh, love the entire universe is yours to explore
happy birthday!!!*** (photo swiped from lynette's site)
Can you spot the airplanes, the jelly fishes, the rivers and lakes, the face with a smile, and the apple tree?
Thank you very much for your generous support; financial and otherwise. I was able to raise $2,175! Also, we were notified by the Colorado Chapter of the National MS Society that, with the help of generous contributions from friends, family, business partners, vendors and the Venoco and Timothy and Bernadette Marquez Foundation… Team Venoco was the #1 Fundraiser in BikeMS Colorado 2008. Being our rookie year, we are grateful, a little sore and, as a team, feel unbelievably lucky to have such amazing support. We’ll do this again next year and we hope you can join us. Our goal is to at least double the team size, substantially increase our total donation and ultimately help in some small way, to rid the world of this horrible disease. We’ve been approached to form a National Team with representation in Houston, Sacramento, Denver and Santa Barbara! A few facts/stories to share: · Our team consisted of 34 people; 30 who rode, 4 who volunteered (one on a Harley) and still raised almost $7,000! · Now… we weren’t doing this for the kudos but we’ll be recognized as Top Fundraiser, Best Rookie Team, Highest per Rider Fundraising ($4,000) and Highest Individual Fundraiser. · Fun Fact #1 - You can ride almost twenty miles and even if it’s backward, your helmet still works! Ask Jack. · Fun Fact #2 - Once you put wine in a water bottle… you can’t get the taste out. · Flat screen TV’s in the team tent is pretty cool. · We ride because some of our family and friends can’t… and that makes the whole thing seem pretty darn easy! Thanks to everyone who helped with the tent, who fed us, who cheered us at the finish, who helped us get up that hill when we didn’t think we could… (Notification from the Colorado Chapter of the MSSociety, 6/29/08) Team Venoco Rocks!!!! It's getting on my nerves!!! You maybe working for SmartBro or you know someone who works for them.... please advise if there is something wrong with the network!

Ines.Fatty.Me When moms meet they talk just about anything under the sun… from potty training woes, colds, and husbands… When moms meet they nurture each other’s souls… When moms meet an hour is not enough and it should not be in Starbucks especially if the little ones are in tow! *** We met in our kids’ summer playgroup and their friendship is a blessing to me
Acute gastroenteritis or better known as the "stomach flu", the doctor said. Akio was admitted for two days due to high fever, vomitting, and diarrhea.
*** He threw up in his pediatrician's clinic Tuesday morning. He cried because he got scared of what was happening to him. He was embarrassed.
*** At the ER, he was crying when he saw another toddler in bed shrieking. He got scared of what might happen to him. He cried and cried, shrieked, and kicked. The nurses and resident doctors had a hard time inserting the IV. He had about six needle marks (both hands and feet)
*** I do not want to see him like that again. For the weak of hearts, motherhood is not for you.
My little boy has a fever. He just threw up. I am scared. I will watch him sleep.
His eyes were watery. He's flushed. He said, "I'm sick Mommy!"
I know sweetie. Don't worry mommy isn't going away. I'll be your night watch.
"I want to sleep with mommy" I will try not to wink honey. I'll be here when you need me.
Motherhood. One sweet life.

YAY! Tonight my little boy went to the potty by himself, twice!!! This after I took his diapers when he woke up from his afternoon nap. No spills, no accidents...
At first he was holding his 'kokoy' and said he wanted to potty. Everyone ushered him to the toilet and he did it! Yey! We gave him a lollipop and it was like his coming of age ceremony, everyone clapped. He even asked his Daddy to clap when we called to announce his milestone hahaha!!!
The second time around, he just ran and banged the door "I want to go potty! Please open the door!". His grandmother was inside hehehe!!! He went again, therefore it's not luck.
As I am typing this blog, we are waiting for his major potty. He has not done it today, which is odd because he usually goes twice daily. He ran to the potty and said "uu" but nothing came out, I think he is constipated.
Ah, but he did wee wee!!! And I'm already very happy and proud! =)

Stay fabulous and happy!!!

I met her in 2001, she was one of the most cheerful and friendly person in the university. Then she had to defer her classes because of her breast cancer. All these years she has endured its recurrances, she has had several surgeries, and will undergo another brain operation this fourth of July (a day before her birthday). I pray that she will come out of it gracefully like she always did in the past.
Lord, please bless my friend Winnie Kwan!
KO! KO! KO!!!

"I couldn't match him!" Diaz said, and he is taking a few months off.

"The love I borne for youis still the same steadfast and pure loveyou held and laughed withwhen the sun was on her golden years. The same faithfulness will hold you whenthe days will be long, the nights cold and the mornings bleak, when you will be crowned with silver streaks. The same love will see you throughwhen your eyes will no longer hold the light. When the years deceitfully steal your life, these arms will still hold you. This ardor will break your fall. When age exiles the youth in us,etching absolute scars of time,we will be holding each other stilluntil the Autumn of our lives."-Dee*** Photo (of a wedding portrait) from the Gaston Ancestral House Silay City, Negros Occidental
Playmates, just what my Akio needs. After his learning lab session today, he played at the gym with Vito for an hour! The two got along alright! They also had so much fun after a hearty lunch at Yellow Cab... that they do not want to be separated from each other. If you see the two wailing as we dropped Yaya Mern and Vito, you will feel guilty for not letting them play a lot longer.
***
On our way home, we dropped by Alexi's house. The two had a quick and impromptu playdate as I chatted my way with Fatty. I am so happy with the treats she gave me this afternoon!!! Thanks a lot Fa! ;-)
***
Mommy had her playdate too with the Supergirls! Mims, sorry for the mango cake on your tea hahaha!!! And oh the highlight was that we got together to pay the birthday girl Chin a visit. We're glad that their security guard had fun at least hahaha! =P
(Photos coming soon...)
Akio's classes started Tuesday in Gymboree. He is enrolled in three classes -- Level 6 Imaginative Play, Arts, and Learning Lab -- weekly until December. I would say this fits his personality best! With all the energy that he's got the school's activities knocks him down right after lunch! The best part is he's got unlimited playtime, downside is I have to pay for a playground! Hehehe!!!
I hope Akio will learn how to share, wait, and follow instructions with all these activties. He's far from clingy when he's in school but I pity the teachers who tries to keep up with him. He's like a wild dynamo waiting to be tamed hehehe!!!
And now I wonder with my son's hyperactivity, how come I have never lost the baby weight???!
Our little one is three months shy from his third birthday. He's one chatterbox alright! One would never have a boring moment with him... you would think he's always high on something with his energy bursts and non stop gab! *** Is Nemo there? (points the ocean) *** There's a bug mommy! I think it's sleeping... (points the little worm beside him on his bed) *** Daddy, I want to buy teeth!!! (picking his teeth in between mouthful! he hates it when something gets stucked... he would ask to be flossed right away!!!) *** Mommy help me! (desperate to put his pants on) "Use your head Akio!" (he then puts on his pants, head first like that of a shirt!) *** "Did you uu Akio?" No mommy, utot lang... *** I want to go to school! (on a Sunday night) *** Tiki! (picks up a dead lizard and showed it off) Dirty mana! *** I want to kill Daddy! (holds his tiny slipper while looking for a bug!) Dah patay! *** I want to ride Philippines Airlines!!! (Philippines gyud, di pwede Cebu Pacifics?!) *** There are a lot more but I couldn't remember them all... he speaks Cebuano now in sentences, he makes fun of me and my sibs, he is quite mischievous! He is still crazy about cars, planes, trains, and now bugs. He runs like a mad cow on a race. while spreading his arms, he thinks he's an airplane! Lethargy is not him. On Tuesday he starts his classes in Gymboree. I hope this fits his personality best.
We're Getting Married! Our wounded souls found each other amidst this crazy world. Now we take that bold step to our future. May you share with us the joy in celebrating our union in Holy Matrimony. Please save the date! *** Photo taken at Tambuli Beach Resort in Mactan, Cebu. I, the papparazi couldn't help it. I hope the monochrome mode conceals the real identity of these two love birds. I just made up their love story.
