Description:
a very simple recipe...takes about a few minutes to prepare...an hour to bake...

Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening (butter/margarine)
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
3 bananas, ripe (i prefer the ultra ripe) & well mashed
1 tsp baking soda
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
4 tsp sour milk (add a smidge of vinegar to milk to make sour milk)

Directions:
- cream shortening, add sugar, and beat well
- beat eggs and mashed bananas, add to butter & sugar cream
- sift dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking soda) together
- alternate dry ingredients with sour milk
- beat until smooth

* for some spice and flavor, I added 1/3 tsp of cinnamon powder and 1/3 tsp of vanilla extract

- bake in a greased loaf pan (or cover loaf pan w/aluminum foil for easy cleaning) @ 350F for an hour

- cool well before slicing
